Privacy
We take privacy seriously. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can reach us with questions.
What we collect
Contact forms: If you send us a message, we collect what you type (name, email, subject, message) so we can reply.
“Request help” on articles: If you ask for help connecting with a nearby hearing clinic, we collect the details you provide (who it’s for, patient name, phone, email, postal code) so our team can follow up.
Article ratings: When you click thumbs up/down, we store the vote for that article. To limit duplicate ratings, we use a one-way hash of your IP address (we don’t display it publicly).
How we use it
We use submitted information to respond to you, improve our guides, and (when requested) help connect you with a hearing clinic.
We do not ask for or need detailed medical records. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal health details in free-text fields.
Analytics
We use basic website analytics to understand what pages are helpful and where visitors come from. If your browser has “Do Not Track” enabled, analytics is disabled.
Security
Pages and forms are sent over HTTPS when you access the site via https://.
No online system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we aim to follow good practices and only collect what we need.
